Bart Howard, Owner, CEO
Mr. Howard holds a business degree from Memphis State University. He entered the Credit and Finance industry in 1968 with Associates Finance as an assistant loan manager. In 1969 he took a position with The State of Tennessee Insurance and Banking as an examiner. By 1971 Mr. Howard’s entrepreneurial side took over and over the course of the next ten years he opened several finance companies, each more successful than the previous one. Most of these companies are still in business today. In 1980 he purchased the Dickson County Credit Bureau and CBNA was born. The Governor of Tennessee appointed Mr. Howard to the Tennessee Collection Service Board in 2003 and he currently sits as the chairman. Bart Howard is known as an authority in the collection industry.
Joe W. Arvidson, Vice President of Marketing
Joe brings to CBNA extensive experience in accounts receivable management and has held executive sales and marketing positions over the past 20 plus years with notable companies such as Financial Collection Agency and I.C Systems. Joe is skilled in various industries with an emphasis in healthcare, financial, telecom and utilities. While at Financial Collection Agency, Joe helped develop and launch the company’s largest telecom and cellular receivables program that added over 14 new clients the first year. Joe received a Bachelors Degree in Business Management from Indiana State University, in Terre Haute, IN. Active in his community, Joe is the head instructor for the Black Dragon Karate School in Newburyport, MA in which he provides free instruction to anyone wishing to learn more about martial arts. In addition, Joe is the East Coast Regional Director for the Tennessee based Okinawan Karatedo Union and holds a Master Rank of 6th degree Black Belt in Isshinryu Karate.
Justin Steven Satterwhite, Account Executive
Justin Satterwhite is a graduate of Dickson County High School, class of 2006. He then attended the University of Tennessee in Knoxville, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude in May of 2010, with a degree in Enterprise Management. After graduation, he spent a few months in Nashville with TekCollect, before joining CBNA.
Wendy Downey, Systems Administrator
Ms. Downey joined the CBNA team in 2001 as a collection floor supervisor; she currently has 22 years experience in the industry. Currently Wendy works closely with the company’s software and all skip trace vendors. She is well versed in data transfer and is a key contributor to the company running efficiently.
Barry Morgan, IT Department Security Specialist
Barry holds a degree in Micro Computer Application Networking. He accepted a position with CBNA as an IT assistant in 1999. He currently manages the IT and Data Security department. Barry has been instrumental in CBNA obtaining PCI Certification and is responsible for maintaining compliance throughout the facility. Barry is a key member of the CBNA team.
Mrs. Michelle Patterson, Director of Operations
Mrs. Patterson has been in the collection industry for over 27 years and has been in management for 25 years. Her “hands on” approach to collections is truly an asset to our company. A great deal of CBNA success is directly attributed to the collection expertise and guidance Michelle has contributed. MIchelle leads by example and is dedicated to ensuring her staff is fully trained in all aspects of collections.
Corinne Willingham, Client Services
Ms. Willingham came to CBNA in 2007 as a Client Services administrative assistant, bringing with her 25+ years of Customer Service and Business Accounting experience in the manufacturing, automotive and federally and State funded housing industries. She has excelled in learning the aspects of the collections industry, becoming a key staff member to CBNA. Corinne, along with her staff, assist with client needs, providing necessary reports, files and information as well as overseeing the data entry process. Upholding a “can do” positive attitude, she also serves as the key contact person to our largest clients.
Belinda Simon , Accounting – Human Resources Manager
Ms. Simon specializes in Business Management. While studying Computer Technologies in 1980 she took a job with Gulfport Memorial Hospital as a Computer Operations Tech for 7 years, before moving home to TN. to join, and manage a family business for 10 years. In 1999, she joined the staff at CBNA, accepting the position of Accounting and Human Resources Manager. Belinda thrives to give the best to all employees.
